The Judicial Training Institute-Somalia (JTI) was established in 2021 and is  Somalia's premier judicial education institution. The mandate of the institute is based on a charter signed by the Chief Justice of the Somali Supreme Court, the Attorney General, Chief Justices and Attorney Generals of the Federal Member States(FMS).  The institute is led by a director general and has specialised departments.

The main aim of the JTI is to augment the capacity of judges, prosecutors, and other members of the judiciary. In close collaboration with all relevant national institutions and international organisations, the JTI makes sure that its training programmes are consistent with international best practices. These programmes cover a variety of topics, including, but not limited to, judicial ethics, civil and criminal codes and procedures, case management, evidence law, financial crimes, land law, court judgement enforcement, maritime crimes, and trail advocacy.
